Robert Edward Wilson: Veterinarian and Air Force veteran was a Rotary leader, avid boater and world traveler

Robert Edward Wilson: Captain, Health practitioner, President, District Governor, Papa Bob

Bob was born in Emmaus, PA at his parents’ veterinary clinic. In his childhood, Bob was energetic in scouting and attained scouting’s greatest rank of Eagle Scout. Just after graduating from Allentown Large School he attended the College of Pennsylvania. Adhering to graduation from Penn’s veterinary school in 1957, he was commissioned as a captain in the US Air Drive and was stationed at Paine Industry. Whilst at Paine Area, he served as the base veterinarian, main foodstuff inspector, mountain rescue group chief, site visitors safety officer and most importantly fulfilled the like of his everyday living, JoAnn. In 1959, Bob was honorably discharged from the Air Power and started working towards veterinary drugs in Lynnwood, WA. He and JoAnn ended up married in 1960 and recently celebrated their 62nd wedding ceremony anniversary.

Bob took the Rotary Global motto ‘Service higher than Self’ to coronary heart. He served as President of the Veterinary Clinical Associations of Snohomish County, Seattle, and the Point out of Washington. He been given the John L. Fluke Award for his contribution to the Snohomish County small business group. He owned and operated the Lynnwood Veterinary Healthcare facility for 35 years. Following retirement Bob was Santa Claus at the Alderwood Mall Nordstrom. Bob carefully liked performing with the Rotary Club the place he served as club president in 1993. With tremendous support from his very good close friend, John Burbank, Bob went on to come to be District Governor for the 50 golf equipment in the Rotary 5030 District. 1 of his many Rotary Intercontinental projects integrated traveling to Kiev, Ukraine to support identified their initially Rotary Club in 1991.

Bob and JoAnn elevated a few sons in Edmonds, WA. Every single summer season the spouse and children would just take extended boating excursions all around the Northwest. In retirement, Bob and JoAnn spent their winters in sunny Shock, AZ.

Bob’s motivation to see the world was famous. Bob and JoAnn traveled during the entire world alongside one another. Bob is survived by his wife JoAnn, sister Virginia, sons Jeff (Tina), Jim (Elizabeth) and Doug (Deborah), and granddaughter Tara, sister-in-law Jean and quite a few nieces and nephews. He was preceded in loss of life by his mom and dad Edward and Vivian and sister Mary Vivian. Bob valued his interactions with his mates and family members above all.
