There are so many things you must attend to. Your feelings, arrangements for your pet, going about your daily business, veterinarian bills,etc.

There are many things that can help you as you navigate your pet loss journey and I love them sharing with you.
I teach my clients who are experiencing difficulty with slowing down to pay attention to the natural rhythms of the Earth and their bodies.
5-Natural Rhythms to Help You:
- The ocean waves as they change tides.
- The setting and rising of the sun.
- Flowers blooming.
- Temperature changes.
- Your breath and heartbeat.
All of these things are constant and here for you to connect with when you are experiencing your body, mind, and spirit going faster than you would like.
When you begin slowing down and embark on connecting to the natural rhythms around you . . . and of course with practice–your body will begin to recognize when it is time to rest.
Rest is Important
Pushing yourself is normal with pet loss grief. I see it a lot with my clients. But it is important to allow time for recharging. Your body, mind, and spirit needs a break to heal.
Noticing the 5-Natural Rhythms above when you walk in nature, drive your car, or work in your garden will help re-tune you to your unique internal and natural rhythm.
Why This is Important
When you re-tune to your unique internal and natural rhythm during pet loss it can help you gain a deeper connection with your pet because you can focus on the gifts they gave you.
These gifts can then contribute to your personal evolution. Slowing down is what it takes to notice and cherish these gifts. Something I want you to experience.
A Simple Exercise for Slowing Down
As you may know by now . . . I love to offer exercises each month to help you navigate your pet loss.
One of my favorites is breathing and going into nature. Here is a very simple way to help you with slowing down and connecting with your natural rhythm.
When you notice yourself going 100 miles an hour . . . please stop right away!
- Take yourself outside.
- Feel your feet on the Earth.
- Take as many deep breaths as you need to begin to slow down your nervous system.
- Begin to notice the birds, the leaves, the grass, the rain . . . whatever is happening in your environment.
- Once your feel yourself slowing down enjoy your moment of stillness.
- Try to keep this feeling with you as long as you can.
